The Monster is located in a historic building overlooking the Village, which was erected in 1929. Originally containing the night club El Chico, The Monster has taken over the space and divided it between cozy piano bar on one level and dance club on another. The crowd at Monster is friendly and unpretentious, and there's a whole lot of flirting going on no matter what time of day you're there. The crowd, though mostly gay, is diverse and entertaining...especially once they get to the microphone.
